CONTEST PERIOD/ENTRY DEADLINE: The Spacedog Entertainment 2008 Choose Your Own Creator ("Contest") begins at 12:01am Pacific Time (PST) on May 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59pm PST on April 15, 2009 ("Contest Period").

ELIGIBILITY: To enter the Contest you and each writer, artist, inker, and/or colorist, if any, must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Contest is void in Puerto Rico and the province of Quebec, and where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of Spacedog Entertainment, and all of their respective affiliated, parent and subsidiary companies, and their advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate families (parents, children, siblings and spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of their households (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Eligibility will be determined by Spacedog Entertainment in its sole discretion.

HOW TO ENTER: First, visit http://www.chooseyourowncreator.com (the "website"), or http://www.spacedogentertainment.com/contest/ and receive details on the Contest. Be sure to carefully review the Official Rules of the Contest (including all instructions on the submission of your writing and artwork, and the judging criterion to be used for the Contest).

Then, produce a treatment, script, cover design, character design, sequential (black and white, or color), or other artwork related to, or depicting the elements of, the concept provided by Spacedog Entertainment, and acknowledging that your submission complies with the requirements of the Official Rules. The treatment, script and artwork are referred to herein collectively as the "Creative Materials". You will be required to sign a rights release as described herein in more detail. Keep in mind that only the person who completes the online entry form is an entrant in the Contest. Also, be sure to carefully review the judging criteria in these Official Rules before you begin work on the Creative Materials.

With respect to your treatment, character designs, script, sequential, or cover, in addition to the other requirements noted herein, you must:

- Prepare your treatment and/or script so that you upload the document (in PDF or Word format) when you submit your entry.
- Limit your Treatments' length so that it will be no less than three, and not exceed five full pages (8 in x 11 in) in a font no less than 10 points in size. Limit your script to equate to a 22 page comic.
- Make sure your treatment and/or script is written in English.
- Make sure the treatment and/or script adequately describes the given concept as well as the storyline and characters.

With respect to your Artwork, in addition to the other requirements noted herein, you must:

- If submitting a treatment, it shall be between 3-5 (8 ½ x 11) pages, at a font no less than 10.
- If submitting character designs, you must submit a design for each character, uncolored or colored.
- If submitting sequential art, you must submit three full comic book pages (8 ½ x 11) depicting the elements of the first pages of the issue you are submitting for in PDF format. Those script pages to which you refer may be fewer or more than three typed pages, depending on the number of panels you use in each submitted sequential page.
- Sequential art will have two rounds – first a contestant submits sequentials for an issue in black and white, which will then be provided to contestants in the following round for coloring.
- If submitting a cover design, you must produce one full page, color or uncolored, which is relevant to one of the issues and equal to the size of a comic book cover (8 ½ x 11).
- Submit all artwork in PDF file format (unless submitting a cover, for which you can use a JPEG format) and have a file size of no larger than 5MB. If your artwork is chosen, you will then have to submit a hi-res file.
- Make sure all artwork is as complete and in finished form as possible.
- Produce Cover artwork in color unless black and white artwork is more appropriate. Given your cover art is chosen, you must provide a final hi-res file that is 6.5 x 10.25 inches in size.

To reiterate, accepted file formats are:

- Treatment or Script: Word (.doc) or PDF (.pdf)
- Character Designs and Sequentials: PDF (.pdf)
