I am a little confused by the info regarding the contest, could someone help with some questions I have?

I’m a little confused about the treatment aspect.  As I understand it, the final product will be a collected anthology with 5 different stories.  How is a treatment supposed to be written?  Seems a little odd for one person to write the game plan for five wildly different stories.

I’m not one of the admin’s or anything, but I’ll tell you how I interpreted what I read:

Basically the five issues don’t necessarily have to be different stories. The treatment will be an overview of the five issue mini-series. If the treatment they select is one story taking place over five issues, then so be it. I’m presuming that on or around June 15th, they will post the winning treatment for all to see and then the script writers will start working on submitting a script for the first issue.

The five issues are more then likely going to be interconnected (serialized), not five separate stories the way that you’re thinking. I was confused by that at first too and thought exactly what you did. Maybe I’m wrong, but when I re-read it, that was what I took away from it. Does that make sense to you? If I’m off base, then I’d love to know about it too! lol
